Patrick Bird
President and CEOMr. Bird was founder and President of Isolation Systems, a provider of network security products, from 1979 until 1997. During that time, he managed the development of the first secure microcomputer co-processor which was evaluated for and certified for use by the U.S. Department of Defense. He then conceived, developed and deployed the first commercial VPN (Virtual Private Network) in a team with Cisco Systems. Isolation Systems was sold to Shiva Inc., which was later acquired by Intel. Prior to Isolation Systems, Mr. Bird was with Northern Telecom (now Nortel) in financial and systems management roles.
Lenny Liscio
Vice President and Chief Financial OfficerMr. Liscio has over 15 years of finance and management experience within the IT solutions and services industry. At Olivetti Canada, he served as CFO and then CEO and coordinated the integration of two large organizations when Olivetti was acquired by Wang Canada. Mr. Liscio has also been CFO of Longview Solutions Inc, an emerging Canadian software provider, ChondroGene Limited, a publicly traded biotech start up, and Constellation Home Builders Inc, a provider of vertical market software solutions to the homebuilder industry.
Jason Hurlbut
Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Business DevelopmentMr. Hurlbut has extensive experience building sales at young companies. Prior to joining CPNI, Mr. Hurlbut was the Vice President, Sales Development for Chantry Networks, a Siemens Company responsible for the successful launch of Wireless LAN in Asia Pacific, South Africa and Mexico. Mr. Hurlbut initiated Canadian sales for Chantry prior to its acquisition by Siemens. He also spent four years with financial industry sales for Cisco Systems after his previous company ArrowPoint Communications was acquired by Cisco. Mr. Hurlbut launched the Canadian sales for ArrowPoint, generating $3.5M in the first 9 months.
Rustin Carpenter
General Manager, United StatesMr. Carpenter brings to CPNI extensive expertise in the payments and merchant check services space. Mr. Carpenter is a senior executive with a history of managing all aspects of multinational organizations, most recently serving as the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at Viewpointe. In addition to senior leadership positions at Andersen Worldwide and Dun & Bradstreet, Mr. Carpenter also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Certegy Corporation and Vice President and General Manager of American Express Consulting.
Pat McMonagle
Director, U.S. Technology and NetworksMr. McMonagle joined CPNI from Viewpointe where he was the Chief Architect, Business Development and Strategy. His responsibilities included the strategic analysis of the US banking landscape with a focus on new product innovation. Previous to that, Mr. McMonagle worked at IBM as a Senior Architect and Consultant and was an original team member for IBM’s Content Manager “On Demand” product. Mr. McMonagle has also served in other senior development and architectural positions within IBM and at Burroughs and Automatic Data Processing.
